Bredy Veterinary Centre Ltd


We are very proud of our dedicated and friendly staff. We have 8 vets, 9 vet nurses, 4 receptionists, 2 administration staff, a Saturday morning assistant & a cleaner. They are: –


  • Jon Diment BVSc (Hons) MRCVS


    I qualified in 1988 from Liverpool Vet School. I’ve spent most of my career working in mixed, mainly small animal and dairy practices in the UK, apart from 3½ years working in predominantly dairy practice in New Zealand. I’ve been working at Bredy Vets since 2001 and I’m a director. I have diverse interests which include many aspects of pet and cattle medicine and surgery, cattle husbandry and improving client and patient care. The great interest of veterinary work is the constant change. Animal husbandry and health continues to evolve and this requires constant changes in approach and methods.
  • Claire Millard MA Vet MB BSc (Hons) MRCVS


    I qualified from Cambridge Vet School in 2004 and have worked in mixed and small animal practices since graduating. My veterinary interests are varied but include many areas of small animal medicine & soft tissue surgery. I have a particular interest in cats. I am now a director.
  • Barry O’Mahony MVB MRCVS


    I qualified from Dublin Vet School in 1999. Originally from Ireland, I spent 4 years working in New Zealand returning to the Northern Hemisphere in 2010. I joined the practice in August 2010. I am now a director.
  • Laura Pattinson BVMS MRCVS


    Originally from Sussex, I graduated from Edinburgh University in 2002 and have worked in the west country ever since, apart from an 11 month break in 2005 to complete a round the world trip of a lifetime! I joined the Bredy vets team in March 2009. I particularly enjoy the variety of experiences and characters that working in mixed practice brings. Although I don’t have any particular areas of specialisation, I do enjoy horse vet work, small animal dentistry and bovine production. I work part-time; Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays.
  • Matthew Field BVetMed BSc (Hons) MRCVS


    Originally from Kent, I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2009. After qualifying I spent a period of time working for the RVC in their research department where I assisted with clinical trials for farm animal medicines. I started working at Bredy Veterinary Centre in January 2010. I enjoy all aspects of mixed practice, particularly small animal surgery, as well as farm animal medicine. I re-joined Bredy Vets in 2015 after a year on sabattical, gaining veterinary experience in London.
  • Beryl Foster BVSc MRCVS


    I qualified from Bristol University in July 2016. Originally from South Africa, I moved to the UK to pursue a veterinary career. I enjoy both cattle and small animal medicine and surgery. I have two little dogs who I enjoy exploring the countryside with in my spare time. I started working at Bredy Vets in December 2016.
  • Jenny Ross BVSc MRCVS


    I qualified from Bristol Vet School in 2010. I initially worked as a locum vet for Bredy Vets on 2 occasions since 2015. I joined the practice in June 2017. I am currently studying for a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine.
  • Tim Florax BVSc MRCVS


    Originally from Norfolk, I qualified from the University of Bristol and joined Bredy Vets in August 2018. I enjoy all aspects of mixed practice, especially farm fertility work and surgery of all species. When not working I like to run and play sport.

Veterinary Nurses

  • Anna Willmore RVN. Clinical Coach & Head Nurse


    I’ve worked at Bredy Vet Centre since 1985 and am Head Veterinary Nurse. I have a keen interest in animal behaviour. I manage the Vet Nurse team and also organise various events for our clients. I work part time.
  • Clare Butcher RVN A1


    I started working at Bredy Vets as a trainee veterinary nurse in January 2002. I qualified in 2005 and became a registered veterinary nurse. I am also a qualified vet nurse assessor. In the future I would like to do some physiotherapy training. I work part time.
  • Emily Archibald RVN


    I joined the practice in August 2012 as a trainee Veterinary Nurse. I did 2 years of Vet Nurse training & qualified as a registered Veterinary Nurse in 2014. I work part time. I am currently on maternity leave.
  • Anne Willson RVN


    I joined Bredy Vets in August 2013, after a period of locum nursing in London and Bristol. Prior to this, I qualified as a vet nurse in 2003 and spent 14 years working at a practice in Somerset. My interests include pet weight clinics & genetic health testing in dogs. I work part time.
  • Juliette Perham RVN


    I started working for Bredy Veterinary Centre in December 2013 after previously working at a veterinary practice in Yeovil where I completed my training, becoming a registered veterinary nurse in 2012. I have an interest in wildlife and exotic animals. I work full time.

    I joined the practice in July 2015, as a trainee Veterinary Nurse. I began my Vet Nurse training in January 2016 & qualified in March 2018. I work full time.
  • Leann McTaggart RVN

    I started working at Bredy Vets in January 2016, having moved from Hertfordshire. I qualified in 2001. I very much enjoy nurse clinics. I work part time.
  • Hayley Parr RVN

    I joined Bredy Vets in January 2017. I have worked locally in veterinary practice for several years. I work part time.

    I started working at Bredy Vets on Saturday mornings, but I am now a full-time trainee nurse. My course started in September 2017.

  • Tamara Broom SQP – Head Receptionist


    I joined Bredy Vets as a full-time receptionist in June 2013. I am in charge of stock control. I am now a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP), having obtained my qualification in 2015 with AMTRA (Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority), qualified to advise & dispense medications for companion & farm animals. I am now Head Receptionist so I manage the team of Receptionists.

    I joined the practice in March 2006, having previously worked in an office for 9 years covering all aspects of administration. I am a receptionist but additionally enter TB (tuberculosis) test results on SAM (this is DEFRA’s TB website). I work part time on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Accounts & Administration

  • Jo Graham – Accounts Administrator

    I have been with the practice from day one, 9th April 1985 and prior to this I spent five years working with one of the founder partners (Bob Smith) of Bredy Veterinary Centre. During this time I have covered all aspects of working within the practice from reception to nursing and accounts. As the practice grew I became responsible for the accounting side of the business. I work full time
  • Michelle Machin RVN D32/D33 – Practice Administrator


    I have worked at Bredy Vets since 1992, starting as a trainee Vet Nurse, becoming a qualified nurse and then taking on the role of Head Vet Nurse. I am now Practice Administrator. I have a great depth of understanding and knowledge locally, being a farmers’ daughter. I have spent time maximising the use of our computerised management software, ensuring our staff management and Health & Safety is up to date, and ensuring we comply with the latest Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accreditation standards. I work Mondays to Fridays.
